BLIPS didn't emerge overnight. It's the result of a dedicated journey of research, development, and relentless pursuit of innovation. Our team, comprised of leading engineers, data scientists, and visionaries in the field of intelligent transportation, has meticulously crafted each component of this groundbreaking system.


At the heart of BLIPS lies the reimagining of the humble cat's eye. We've transformed these passive road markers into intelligent sensors, capable of capturing a wealth of real-time data.  This involved developing highly sensitive detectors that go beyond simply reflecting light. 


They now register vehicle speed, weight, even tire pressure, and emissions, painting a detailed picture of traffic flow and individual vehicle behavior.  


This data isn't just collected; it's processed instantaneously by sophisticated algorithms, identifying potential traffic violations, optimizing traffic signaling for smoother flow, and even providing crucial information for proactive road maintenance.  And of course, these intelligent cat's eyes communicate wirelessly, transmitting this valuable data to our central system for analysis and action.


But capturing data from the road itself wasn't enough. We wanted to achieve a level of vehicle tracking that surpassed the limitations of GPS, especially in dense urban canyons where signals can be unreliable.  This led us to develop a hybrid RFID/WiFi tracking system. 


By combining these two technologies, we've achieved pinpoint accuracy in real-time vehicle location.  This isn't just about knowing where a vehicle is; it's about understanding its trajectory, predicting its movements, and enabling a new level of responsiveness for logistics, security, and emergency services. 


And we haven't overlooked security – robust encryption protocols safeguard all vehicle data, ensuring privacy and preventing unauthorized access.


Of course, data is only as valuable as the insights it provides. That's where our powerful digital electronic tracking and data analytics engine comes in.  This system acts as the brain of BLIPS, fusing data from the intelligent cat's eyes, the RFID/WiFi trackers, and even the vehicles' onboard systems.  This creates a holistic view of the traffic ecosystem, allowing us to not just understand what's happening, but to predict what will happen next.  


Advanced machine learning algorithms analyze this data, identifying patterns, predicting traffic flow, and optimizing routes for individual vehicles and the entire network.  And to make this information accessible, we've created intuitive dashboards and reports that visualize key insights, empowering traffic managers and urban planners with the information they need to make informed decisions.


One of the most exciting applications of BLIPS is in the realm of electric vehicles.  Range anxiety is a major hurdle for EV adoption, and we're tackling it head-on.  Our system goes beyond the limitations of onboard EV range calculations by incorporating real-world factors.  We've developed sophisticated models that account for the impact of terrain, weather conditions (from headwinds to icy roads), and even road surface on energy consumption.  


We also analyze individual driver behavior, learning their patterns and providing personalized range predictions to encourage efficient driving habits.  


And by integrating with EV charging infrastructure, BLIPS can optimize charging sessions, pre-booking slots and even preparing the vehicle's battery for optimal charging, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.


But our journey doesn't end here.  We're constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible. 


Our ongoing research explores exciting new frontiers, including vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, where vehicles will seamlessly share information with each other and the infrastructure around them, further enhancing safety and efficiency. 


We're also deeply involved in developing solutions for autonomous vehicles, leveraging BLIPS data to improve their navigation, safety, and interaction with the world around them. 


And we're constantly exploring new ways to apply BLIPS technology to the challenges of smart city development, optimizing traffic flow, reducing congestion, and creating more sustainable and livable urban environments.

BLIPS RoadStripe : Dynamic Wireless Charging Meets Intelligent Infrastructure

Imagine a future where EVs can charge while driving, not just in dedicated lanes, but across the entire road network. BLIPS RoadStripe™ makes this a reality, seamlessly integrating dynamic wireless charging technology with the intelligent infrastructure of BLIPS.

  • Modular Design:  RoadStrip consists of modular segments embedded within the road surface, containing both charging coils and the intelligent sensors that power BLIPS.


  • Targeted Charging:  Instead of electrifying the entire road, RoadStripe intelligently activates charging segments only when an EV is directly above them. This maximizes efficiency and minimizes energy waste.
